Album design for a re-release of West African artist Cheikh Lo’s debut album ‘Ne La Thiass’. We created the new artwork, promotional graphics and developed an irregular typographic language based on a scan of the original 1995 cassette.
We also designed the CD, promotional postcards and a new supporting 16 page booklet containing lyrics and the stories behind the tracks, all accompanied by original Senegalese glass paintings.
Produced in Senegal by Youssou N’Dour, fusing Mande, Wolof and Congolese music with Lô’s passion for Cuban rhythms.
Original Cover Photography by Maame Diaara LÔ
